For over 20 years, The Chijnaya Foundation has been guided by a vision of self-sustainability and improved quality of life for rural communities in Southern Peru.
We’re proud to share our 2025 Impact Report with you—a reflection of what you have helped make possible. These achievements are a direct result of your continued support and belief in our shared mission to address poverty in underserved Andean communities. Thank you!
In this year’s report, you’ll find highlights including:
- Continued growth and strengthening of our Rotating Fund Program, with communities collectively managing and reinvesting substantial local capital to support income-generating activities and long-term economic resilience
- Expansion of financial literacy and savings initiatives, including the addition of new savings groups and the continued engagement of existing groups fostering financial readiness across partner communities
- Increased access to education through the awarding of 51 scholarships in 2025, supporting students from across the Altiplano in pursuing higher education opportunities
- Ongoing health initiatives improving well-being for children and families, including expanded dental care and preventative services delivered in partnership with local schools and health providers.
As we look toward 2026, we are committed to honoring our late founder, Ralph Bolton, and his extraordinary legacy in ways that reflect the causes closest to his heart. We honor his enduring legacy by launching the Sustainers Monthly Giving Program, a commitment to long-term, community-driven impact — just as Ralph envisioned.
Thank you for partnering with us to strengthen local capacity—creating impact that grows from individuals to entire communities throughout the Puno region.
