This fall we are proud to present to you the 44 students who received scholarships to attend a university or technical institute in 2024. Since 2007 The Chijnaya Foundation has offered this opportunity for more than 592 rural students to pursue higher education.
This year’s students will seek advanced training in a variety of fields, including nursing, anthropology, accounting, engineering. The knowledge they gain is then shared through Musoq Riqchari projects that address some of the challenges in their communities. In 2024 students chose to create projects focusing on first aid, marketing support for local artisans, and vocational support to younger students among others.
None of this would be possible without the support of individuals like you. With a minimum gift of $1,000 you can create more opportunities for students to access higher education in rural communities in Peru by creating a named scholarship in memory or honor of a loved one. If this is of interest to you we encourage you to coordinate with Makensie directly to establish a scholarship for our 2025 group of scholars.
We invite you to peruse The Chijnaya Foundation and Asociación Pro DIA’s “yearbook” of students to learn more about their diverse interests and areas of study.
