We are happy to welcome Judith Farmer to The Chijnaya Foundation Board of Directors.
Farmer has extensive experience in Peru, spending her time with the Peace Corps in credit and coffee cooperatives before studying severe malnutrition in the region during a project with Johns Hopkins University. Farmer acknowledges that her time in Peru changed not only her life, but her view of the world.
After completing a master’s degree in College Administration at Loyola University, Farmer dedicated her career to higher education. She served as Director of Housing and Student Activities as well as the Vice President for Student Services at Mundelein College. Her most recent endeavors include rehabbing building units in Chicago.
Farmer states “throughout my life I have tried to make a difference in the lives of the people of Peru. I admire the thoughtful and holistic approach of The Chijnaya Foundation. I am eager to serve on the organization’s Board of Directors.”
Welcome, Judy – we are delighted to have you!
